ReflexLog

Software for Reflexologists
ReflexLog Application ReflexLog is based around the concepts of clients, sessions and logged points:-
  • A client is an individual person receiving the Reflexology treatments.
  • A session is a Reflexology treatment for an individual client at a given time and date.
  • A logged point is a point found during a session and recorded on the foot map (or chart). Points may be logged on the map for different reasons, such as:-
    • Points of numbness,
    • Points of tightness,
    • Points of tenderness
    • Points where aches are found,
    • Areas of stabbing pains,
    • 'Crunchy' Areas,
    • Points being noted for another reason. Notes can be used to record more information.
  • Notes can also be added to logged points e.g. "Very sensitive area".
With ReflexLog the user can:-
  • Create and open a new client file.
  • Open a client file previously created.
  • Open a new session for the client, or
  • Open a previous session for the client. When a session is opened, it's possible to:-
    • Select the type of point found by selecting the type on the toolbar.
    • Log a point by simply clicking on the foot map. Points can be removed by right-clicking on the same point.
    • Add a note to the point if needed. The note will be displayed when the mouse is over the point with the note. Click on the note button then click on the point to which a note is to be added. Right click on a point with a note to remove the note.
  • Save the changes to the currently opened client and/or session.
  • Delete a client file.
  • Delete a session within a client file.
  • Edit the details stored for the client e.g. general information.
  • Edit the details stored with the open session e.g. extra information for the session.
  • Select for which sessions the logged points will be shown. This is useful for doing comparisons between sessions. Different shaped symbols are used:-
    • Circles are used to show points in the currently open session.
    • Squares are used to show points in sessions earlier then the open session (past sessions).
    • Diamonds are used to show points in sessions later than the open session (future sessions).
  • Display the details stored with a session other than the one open. This is again useful for doing comparisons between sessions.
  • Change the shape of the map to the 'wide' map. This makes the map fit better on wider computer screens or screens that are too short to show all of the map in the 'long' shape. The shape of the map can be switched between 'wide' and 'long' at any time without having an effect on logged points.
  • Change the shape of the map to the 'long' map. This may be easier to work with on some types of computer screen. The shape of the map can be switched between 'wide' and 'long' at any time without having an effect on logged points.
  • Print the footmap and marked points.
  • Set user preferences:-
    • Point Colors : Change the color used to mark a type of logged point. This may be useful if certain colors do not show up clearly on some computer displays.
    • (Drawing tab) Line Thickness : Change how thick the lines are drawn when drawing a point. Thicker lines may show up better on some computer displays.
  • (Under the 'Options' menu) Restore all the user preferences to the factory defaults.
